Holding IMIS 2015 as a successful Summit which gathered together more than 1670 delegates from 590 companies came from 21 countries in Tehran, encouraged us in IMIDRO (Iranian  Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization) to kindly announce IMIS 2016 (Iran’s Mines and Mining Industries Summit) which takes place on December 10-11 ,2016 in Tehran, I.R. of Iran. Iran is blessed with abundant Mineral and energy recourses, a young, educated and experienced workforce, a relatively untouched market of 75 million, access to international water ways, low cost labor, a developed infrastructure of roads, railways, ports, power supply and telecommunication network, together with asset of investor friendly laws and regulations; all of which makes Iran a particularly attractive country for international investors.

Referring to Iran’s mines and mining Industrial potentials, Iran possesses 68 different kinds of minerals. Its proven Iron Ore reserves reach to amount of 2.7 billion tons (0.8% total global reserves) and proven Copper Ore reserves reach to amount of 2.6 billion tons, which account of 4% of global reserves. Iran also possesses 11 million tons of Zinc (4% of global reserves). The total proven reserves estimated to 6 billion tones, which with 300.000 sq.km2 for new explorations may reach to more than 10 billion tons, which all above have placed Iran among the world’s top ten countries in terms of mineral reserves. The mines and mining industry have a 25% market share in Tehran Stock Exchange with a value of approximately $30 billion.
